 This work is specially dedicated for for being soo.. sweet  I admired her so much, she's a great dark artist whose heart is a s bright as an angel. Check out her gallery for wonderful dark arts :D

I'm a 3d modeller; but thanks to her, I inspired about learning photo manipulation and I think it is so..difficult!! I wish someday I could be like her in photo manip skills
The small size is actually intended to hide my poor photo manip skills, hopefully it's work

The Background Story
About deep sadness and beauty. Gleaming beauty that hides the painful reality of the owner. Just like mother nature which present its beauty depite its deterioration at the other parts of world :( Same story to the girl, which presents magical beauty coverring her true painful story.

The work
Inspired by paintings in children fairy comics.
The background (land, mount, and sky) is not a photo, it's A 3D rendered using TERRAGEN; the rest are photos added in photoshop.
The model is =LuneBleu herself: [link] ; I smudged her hair using ordinary ps' brush (this was so awfully difficult for me :( since I only use mouse instead of pen tablet).
Brushes is acquired from
Butterflies are from [link]

Lastly, I want ot quote =LuneBleu favourite words in her works:

Thank you all for the wonderfull resources and stock

:D

*UPDATE*
This is an entry for chlidren's stories contest.
Category: 3D intermediate

story
hehehe... original story behind this work wasn't meant to be a children's story as indicated in contest; but since I'm eager to join her contest (and she allowed me :excited: :wow:) luckily I found a suitable traditional Indonesian (my country) story.
Here it is: I mean the summary, coz the real one is too long ^^0; The title is: History of Mount Tangkuban Perahu

Once upon a time, lives a poor mother and her son. One day her son decided to go sailing for a journey to make better living. Every day, the mother prays for her son's success and indeed God bless her son a gleaming success and richness.
Upon his success, the son travels with his beautiful rich wive, accidentally meet his old poor ugly mother. Couldn't bare the embarassment, the son denied to acknowledge the woman as his mother. He then decided to sail away with his giant ship full-filled with treasures and deserted his mother alone.
Aroused with anger and the betrayal, watching his son's ship sailing away and away, the mother cursed her son. Suddenly the ship flipped, plunging all of its passangers and treasures into the sea. The ship was then frozen and become a mountain called Tangkuban Perahu or in english, Flipped Ship.
The mother regreted so much, but apparently nothing can be done to reverse what have been cursed.

So the lesson for children from this story is never ever betray your loving parents

And that's a wrap :faint:

Hey, i think you're mixed up between tangkuban perahu and malin kundang ^^;

Tangkuban perahu isn't about an ungrateful child disgust by his own mother, as a mater of fact it was the opposite. The child (sangkuriang) lost his memories, and when he grew up he accidently meet his beautiful-still young looking women unknowing that she is his mother (dayang sumbi) and propose her hand for mariage. Dayang sumbi, knowing that the guy is her son tricked sangkuriang by asking him to make a dam and a boat. All must finish before dawn. Apparently Sangkuriang failed (thx to dayang sumbi's tricks), and in act of anger he kicked the half finished boat upside down. And there it was, the boat, stays in it's current place until now :D

Just a little correction, if you don't mind ;)

this is superb work -- the terragen bit is exceptional!! the blurred branches that frame the image are a great touch!! one thing though -- the moon in the background has no detail to it -- a cracked rocky moon would look amazing!!
